Cancellations can be made within 24hrs of placing an order, by sending us an email ,mentioning the order details and by stating the reason for the cancellation at

Products on sale and those that are made to order/customized are not eligible for cancellations.

Cancellation request wont be accepted incase the due process is not followed.

We take utmost care and checks before each item is dispatched. On a rare occasion, if you haven't received a product you asked for, kindly notify us within 24hrs of receiving such a product either through email at info@thestitchstory.com or contact us on the customer care number +91 9137753186 .

Once all required checks/inspections are initiated, we shall make arrangements for a pickup. On receiving the product and examining the same a replacement will be dispatched.

Our products are made of hand spun and handwoven natural cotton fabrics and should be treated gently. Subtle imperfections or irregularities in weave, texture, color and unevenness in these fabrics are not considered as defects but tell the story about the journey of a handmade and handcrafted product while making each product unique.

• Wash each garment separately in cold water using gentle pH
  neutral soap.
• Do not bleach or use harsh chemicals.
• Do not harshly scrub while hand washing.
• To dry the clothes, you may hang it in shade while flipped
  inside out, as exposure to direct sunlight may lead to excessive fading.
• Indigo and other natural dyes used are derived from locally
  available natural sources without any or minimum use of any chemicals or
  fixers, the excess dyes tend to spread/bleed into water for the first few washes.
• We recommend gentle hand wash each garment separately with mild soap/shampoo in cold water only.
• Small noticeable fade of colour may appear overtime, which is
  natural and adds to the beauty of the garment.
• Do not over-soak the garment.
• We do not recommend harsh squeeze or wringing your clothes as it
  may cause pieces to lose its size and shape.
• Do not use machine dryers
• For Ironing either use steam iron or iron clothes on low heat on
  reverse side.
• Certain designs in which we may have combined two or more different fabrics especially lighter tones or whites with techniques like Ajrakh, kalamkari, Bagru, Dabu, Bagh, Shibori, hand painted or hand block printed designs, Indigo colors etc will need gentle care; do not soak the garment in water for long. Due to natural and eco processes, if the colour may have spread onto the lighter part, just scrub the part with mild soap immediately, rinse and dry on a flat rack. This will ensure that there are no permanent stains.
